Strange Music and Suburban Noize Hit The Road Together For Strange Noize Tour 2011 Featuring Johnny Richter, Krizz Kaliko, Saigon, Kutt Calhoun, Potluck and J Hornay

This spring, two of the most successful independent record labels come together to wreak havoc on the road once again. The 3rd annual “Strange Noize Tour” brings together two powerhouse labels – Strange Music andSuburban Noize – for a tour like no other. With artists representing both labels hitting the stage, fans are sure to see one of the most impactful and diverse Hip Hop shows around.

Co-headlining this chapter of the “Strange Noize Tour” saga will be none other than Sub Noize’s Johnny Richter of the Kottonmouth Kings, along with Strange Music’s resident genius, Krizz Kaliko. Richter, a key member of the Kings, has been hitting the road nonstop – most recently supporting the Kings’ album Long Live The Kings and his solo release, Laughing, and along the way developing an instantly recognizable swagger and style that’s all his own. Fans know Krizz Kaliko thru his constant touring with Tech N9ne, as well as thru his game-changing Strange Music albums, his latest being Shock Treatment. Krizz’s stage presence is undeniable and his live show is an energetic force unto itself.

Joining Krizz and Richter will be Saigon and Potluck from Suburban Noize, along with Kutt Calhoun from Strange Music. Saigon, one of Brooklyn’s finest, recently signed with Suburban Noize , adding a gritty East Coast element to the label’s already well-rounded roster with his album The Greatest Story Never Told . Potluck are following a trail blazed by the Kings as they rep Humboldt County from coast to coast – their upcoming May release “Rhymes And Resin” . The Kansas City Chief, Kutt Calhoun, brings his Raw And Un-Kutt brand of catchy, street-smart Hip Hop to the tour. Arizona local J Hornay rounds out the lineup with his self-described “jokester” style of rap.

The 2011 “Strange Noize Tour” combines two of the most notable independent record labels for a tour that will continue to change the expectations of what Hip Hop can be.

BONUS Swollen Member To Release Saigon Remix

Vancouver based Swollen Members recently entered the studio to record a new version of the song “Bring Me Down” with labelmate Saigon. The track will appear on Swollen Members’ new studio album “Dagger Mouth”, which has been re-scheduled for an April 12th, 2011 through Suburban Noize/Battle Axe Records.

“I had the great pleasure of touring with Saigon and building a friendship with him throughout the month we spent together on the road. We had just finished putting the final touches on our new album, when we got asked to record a new version of ‘Bring Me Down’ with Saigon,” commented Prevail. “I knew Saigon's creative voice on this track was speaking a powerful message and both Madchild and I wanted to honor the concept. When we heard the final recordings we all knew that this collaboration produced something magical and we wanted to include it on “Dagger Mouth” for our fans. Since then, I’ve played the track for a handful of people and they all agree that it’s one of the best collaborations we’ve ever done.”

Saigon Performing In Brooklyn 8/20/10

Sai's show in Brooklyn (Brownsville) was crazy yesterday. Like he said, when the album drops BK will be proud. Here's a quick flick. Pardon the back hehe! Thanks to the homie @iiightMrJump for coming through. Yardfather 3 mixtape on deck, then the album after that. Now that I think about it. Sai has been geting shows like crazy the past few weeks. I see he's grinding again. Good job new team!

X-Games & New Label Info???

Saigon will be performing live at "X-Games 16", for the "Party In The Plaza" tomorrow sometime between 8:30 and 11:00 PM. DJ Bobby B from Kottonmouth Kings and Glasses Malone are also suppose to perform during that time. -source

If you check that source, the mini-bio of saigon states that 'the greatest story never told' is comming out on Abandoned Nation/Subnoize Records. A google search of subnoize records came up with suburban noize records, a label by the Kottonmouth Kings.
